Why is Body Butter better than Body Lotions

This week I’ll be sharing why Body butters are more effective than body lotions. I’ve been using body butters in my routine for over a year now and the improvement in my skins radiance & texture is incredible. So I want to share my beauty secret with you so that you can feel confident in your own skin too.

Body Butter

Body Butters tend to be oil based, therefore the molecules will be bigger and will release hydration gradually into the skin. They are made with butters and nourishing oils that help heal and protect the skin. Body Butters are used for a lot of different types of skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and more. There is a reason Body Butters are the top picks for these conditions and its the fact that they help replenish and nourish the skin at a much more effective and deeper level.

Body Lotions

Body Lotions are usually water based, you can get some body lotions that contain butters, such as shea or even cocoa. However, it’s usually a very small percentage and A LOT of water, which is why when you look at the ingredient list, the first thing you’ll tend to see is aqua (water). This means that the majority of the product is made from water, anything after that will have a much smaller percentage. Think about when your skin is wet, it looks nice and hydrated right? but then after a while you’ll need to moisturise it. That’s exactly what lotions will do, they will provide that burst of hydration, then you will need to re apply.
